Environment
Jessica M.

The icecaps are melting
Polar bears are drowning
Animals are dying

Our population is growing
Soon there will be no more nature
Pretty things to see
Dust, Concrete, and Buildings will
Be all we see.

Presidential Candidates
Will G.

I don't understand.
Why they hate each other so.
Maybe they don't.
Who's to know?

I know for sure.
That they have different views.
About the war in Iraq,
And healthcare too.

They invade each others privacy
Slander each others names.
Demonize their opponents' opinions.
And just love to place blame.

What is the reason for this Hate?
Why do they deny what they clearly state?
Why do they attack each others flaws?
Don't they realize that there is no applause?

But after all is said and done.
One will sit in Washington.
Then it will be up to him to see.
If it was worth stepping on so many feet.

"War"
Mike T.

Onto War When two cultures
collide and don't
agree, many will die.

Oh war, they will raise their
arms and will go to
war many will die
some will wail but
in the end we will all fail

Current Events Story
Tony K.

I was lying in bed one night when I had a dream. In the dream I saw the future. It was a bad future. The air was brown and dirty and I couldn't breathe. I couldn't see a tree anywhere. I thought it was because the fog was blinding me, but someone told me that the last one was chopped down years ago. The water looked like thick mud. There wasn't any plant life left, so people had to eat animals that were stuffed in small cages. Before we reached that future. I said I would start to be kind to the environment and tell others to do so to. Then I went back to bed.
